A capacitor is a two-terminal electrical device that stores and releases energy as an electric charge. It consists of two electrical conductors that are separated by a distance. I ran across a similar coil arrangement from a 2011 Nissan Frontier. Instead of calling it a capacitor, Nissan calls it a “condenser.”
