Unlike their gasoline-powered counterparts, EVs rely on an electric motor and a battery pack to propel the vehicle forward. Electric vehicles operate at high voltages, typically ranging from 300 to 800 volts, to power the electric motor(s) and other components. Proper safety protocols and specialized training are essential when working on or around the high-voltage systems in an EV to prevent serious injuries or damage.
